McKnight’s Long-Term Care News published a story about Walnut Crossing’s very own resident, Miriam Looker. Miriam decided to make the best of quarantine by staying busy while also helping others. She has made over 3,000 masks for our community, healthcare workers, and the local community. Miriam started this venture when her stepson, a local doctor, was in need of masks. She began sewing masks for him and then when he was no longer in need of masks she kept going. She now aims to make 10 masks per day for her community. Read the article about Miriam Looker here.
